About Mayor Zimmerman
Bill Zimmerman serves as the Mayor for the City of Menifee. He purchased a home in Menifee in 1989 and began serving on the city’s inaugural Planning Commission in 2009. Zimmerman is married and has an adult daughter who attended Menifee schools and MSJC. He began his career in Media Services and Land Planning in 1984 providing consulting and design services to land planners, surveyors and civil engineering companies.
Zimmerman served as a Board Trustee for Mt. San Jacinto Community College, serving as Chairman. He also served as the District V Trails Committee Chairman for Riverside County Parks District, and as Chairman for the City of Menifee’s Parks, Recreation and Trails Commission. He is a founder and past President of Arts Council Menifee and serves as Vice President for the Menifee Valley Historical Association. He is a founder and current board member for Boys & Girls Club of Menifee Valley. He volunteers for the Menifee Union School District serving on the LCAP Committee, Visioning Stakeholder Group and Citizen’s Bond Oversight Committee.
In 2014, Zimmerman received the “Service above Self” award from the Menifee/Sun City Rotary Club, and was honored with a “Power to the People” award by Assemblywoman Melissa Melendez.
