Picking out the 2019 Family Pumpkin at Wickerd Farms in Menifee, California. From their website |   Wickerd farm was Homesteaded in 1904, By the Wickerd family and has remained in the family ever since. When Jack Wickerd inherited the farm in 1984, he decided that the farm had to pay its own property tax. Traditionally, Menifee was known as the land of wheat and honey because the settlers where able to dry farm successfully. Due to the drought in the mid to late ’80’s, Jack’s crops failed to flourish, so we started looking for other options. Since Jack is already a Bee Keeper, we decided to grow Christmas trees because it fits in with his Beekeeping schedule. Our Bees are our main source of income, so we are keeping the honey Tradition alive!
